Frequently asked questions:

I have Artexed/textured walls or ceilings - can these be made flat?
Absolutely! Bring your house up-to-date and add value to it by having the Artex 'skimmed' over, leaving you with modern, smooth, flat walls and ceilings.

How much mess can I expect?
All fixed furniture, carpets, sockets, light fittings and windows will all be protected whilst the work takes place.  Any rubbish/waste will be removed from your home and appropriately disposed of, leaving your house as clean as when we arrived.

Do I need to arrange a skip?
If a skip is required, this can be arranged by ACL at a very competitive rate.  If you would rather provide your own skip, that of course is fine.
 
What is the difference between a traditional 'Sand & Cement' render, and the new 'through-colour' render?
Sand & Cement render will require painting on completion of the render, plus some ongoing maintenance for the life of it.  Through-colour render already has the colour in it and therefore requires no painting or maintenance at all.  There are a wide range of colours to choose from, and samples can be seen and discussed at your consultation.  Through-colour render also has improved resistance to cracking and moisture.

Will I have to arrange scaffolding myself?
No, when scaffolding is required, it is arranged by ACL and is included in your price.

I already have some render on my house.  Will I need to get it removed?
In most cases, existing renders will need to be removed to ensure that we achieve the highest quality finish on your render.  This can be completed by ACL and prices can be discussed at your consultation.
